A member of the Alternative for Germany (ADG), Mr. Herdt joined the conservative Christian party (Partei Bibeltreuer Christen) in 2013 and participated in the activities of the party's Federal Board. In 2016, he joined the Alternative for Germany (ADG) party. In the same year, Mr. Herdt was elected to the municipal Council in Neuenkirchen-Ferden in Lower Saxony local elections. Since 2017 he has been the member of the Bundestag.

Chris Halverson
Acting Chaplain to the United States Senate
After graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1974, Chris pastored numerous congregations in Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia, while remaining active in the prayer breakfast movement.

In 1992, Sen. Robert Byrd nominated Chris to serve as Acting Chaplain to the United States Senate, an office he held for three years until 1995. In the years following, Chris organized fellowship groups among State Legislators across the country and facilitated faith-sharing events for Governors.
Chris is married to Phyllis Hennecy Hendry. He is father of six children and grandfather to nine grandchildren. Currently, Chris and Phyllis live and work in Washington, DC. They continue to come alongside elected officials and public servants to serve as trusted friends and counselors, promoting peace and reconciliation among the powerful and the powerless, in the United States and around the world.

Most recently, Chris and Phyllis have worked closely with Ambassador Sam Brownback in establishing a coalition of Religious Freedom Roundtables throughout the world.

Greg is also the Founder and President of The Mitchell Firm, a government relations firm that focuses on government reforms that secure rights and freedoms for everyone, everywhere. For the last 17 years, he has focused primarily on criminal justice reform, international religious freedom and national security, and better citizenship and governance.

Before starting his own government relations firm in 2003, Greg served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman James E. Rogan (1997-2000) and was one of the co-founders of Digital Campaigns, Inc., a pioneering software company that offered online database solutions for political and grassroots campaigns.

Samuel Brownback is an American attorney, politician, diplomat and member of the Republican Party who has served as the United States Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom since February 2018.

Mr. Brownback previously served as the Secretary of Agriculture of Kansas, as the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 2nd congressional district, as a United States Senator from Kansas and the 46th Governor of Kansas. He also ran for the Republican nomination for President in 2008.
